The EverPup brand was created by Functional Nutriments, a pet supplement company that also produces Apocaps and Nutrocept. All of their products are made using 100% human-grade ingredients and tested for the highest standards of safety, freshness, and purity.

Created by Dr. Demian Dressler, DVM, EverPup is described as the “ultimate daily dog supplement.” It provides “delicious defense” against invisible enemies that threaten your dog’s health.

The EverPup supplement is designed to support every organ, system, and cell in your dog’s body including:

  • DNA
  • Skin
  • Immunity
  • Joints
  • Weight
  • Liver
  • Brain
  • GI tract
  • Kidney

What makes EverPup unique from other supplements is the fact that it works based on the principle of apoptosis. Apoptosis is the natural death of cells that occurs naturally as part of an organism’s growth and development. It’s “nature’s key to health” and it’s encoded in your dog’s DNA.

The EverPup supplement contains natural dietary adaptogens that support cell turnover, helping old and damaged cells die naturally, leaving only strong and healthy cells behind.

Where Is The Product Made?

We weren’t able to find specific information about where EverPup is made other than the statement on the label that the supplement is made in the USA.

The Functional Nutriments site claims that the three products they offer are subject to regular inspections and made from tested ingredients in facilities registered and licensed by the FDA.

The Functional Nutriment website makes this statement:

“To make sure that our products are as safe as possible, we manufacture in nutraceutical labs registered with, approved by, and regularly inspected by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and state agencies.”

Dr. Demian Dressler, creator of EverPup and Apopcaps, is the owner of South Shore Veterinary Care, a full-service veterinary hospital in Maui, Hawaii. We were unable to determine, however, whether the products were formulated in Hawaii or elsewhere.

What Dog Products Do They Offer?

EverPup is a daily dog supplement and it is the only product the company currently has to offer. The website calls it, “the easiest, tastiest path to long-term pet health.”

Unlike many pet supplements, EverPup comes in powder rather form rather than as a chew. You simply sprinkle it over your dog’s food using the included scoop. Each serving contains about 20 calories and there are about 30 scoops per jar – about a one-month supply for the average dog.

Our test dog Archie gives his EverPup supplement an exploratory sniff.

Is Their Packing Environmentally Friendly?

When our order arrived, it came in a small cardboard box. We were glad to see that the company didn’t waste a lot of packaging and the box itself was recyclable.

The container EverPup comes in is a simple plastic jar with a screw-on lid. The bottom of the jar is marked with the plastic recyclable number 2 for high-density polyethylene. This is the same material used to make bottles for household cleaners, milk jugs, and shampoo bottles. It is recyclable.

How Much Does It Cost?

A single jar of EverPup costs $29.95, though the website references a “retail price” of $37.95. We were surprised but pleased to see that the company offers a steep discount on your first jar – you’ll pay just $10 for the first jar and $27.85 per month after that.

What Did Our Test Dog Think?

When it comes to testing EverPup, there isn’t a lot to tell. We weren’t turned off, but we’re not sure we can recommend it to the average dog owner – mostly because not all dogs need supplements.

Our experience with the website was a little tricky because we had trouble finding a lot of information to answer the questions listed here. There is a detailed FAQ page as well as a blog, but specific information about the product and how the ingredients contribute to the proposed benefits was lacking. We also found the mobile version of the website difficult to use for account access.

The product itself was perfectly fine. It came in a plastic jar with a screw-on lid and a small plastic scoop. Once we uncovered the scoop, it was easy to sprinkle the product over top of our test dog’s food. Archie seemed to like the smell and flavor of the supplement, though it’s difficult to tell whether he experienced any true benefit from it.

EverPup supplement powder comes in a convenient resealable jar with an included scoop.

EverPup Dog Food Recalls

To our knowledge, EverPup has not had any product recalls. This isn’t terribly surprising, considering it is a single product. Functional Nutriments only makes three supplements for dogs at this time.

Is Everpup Really Worth The Cost?

When evaluating pet food products, it’s tempting to just see the price tag. The danger with shopping by price, however, is that you may not end up with a quality product. The quality of your dog’s diet directly influences his long-term health and wellness.

Here are some of the benefits of feeding your dog premium dog food:

  • Improved and regulated digestion, less gas and diarrhea
  • Reduced stool volume and odor
  • Healthier coat with less shedding
  • Increased energy levels and vitality
  • Healthy weight loss (when needed for overweight dogs)
  • Improved dental health and oral hygiene
  • Better urinary health, reduced risk for urinary tract infections (UTIs)

If you feed your dog a high-quality diet made with wholesome, natural ingredients, he’ll get the nutrients he needs to stay healthy. This means he won’t get sick as often and he may not develop the serious, long-term health problems that are common with malnutrition and dietary insufficiencies.

These illnesses can cost you hundreds or thousands in vet bills, so it may actually save you money to buy a better-quality dog food.

When it comes to supplements like EverPup, you have to ask yourself whether your dog needs a supplement and, if he does, why he needs it. If you’re using a supplement to make up for feeding your dog a low-quality pet food, you’re going about it all wrong. If your veterinarian diagnoses your dog with a dietary insufficiency and recommends a multivitamin, however, EverPup could be a good choice.

Remember, supplements are intended to boost your dog’s primary source of nutrition, not replace it. Always talk to your veterinarian before giving your dog a supplement.

The EverPup label includes all of the information you need about ingredients, dosage, and more.

How Do You Order It?

Ordering EverPup is fairly simple through the website. Simply scroll down the page and click on the “Sign Up” button. This takes you to an order page where you fill in your billing and mailing information to get started with a monthly subscription. Your first order will be $10, billed at $27.85 per month after that.

Customer Service

Because EverPup provides limited information on their website, we were able to test out the chat function to get more information.

The chat icon is positioned in the bottom right corner of every screen, so it’s very easy to find. When you first click the button, you’ll find a list of FAQ and you can type in the search bar to locate the answer to your question. If you don’t find the answer, you can click on the “Ask” tab at the top to contact customer service by email or chat.

When we typed our question into the chat box, we were asked for a follow-up email address and the bot informed us that someone from the team would “jump into the chat soon.”

Unfortunately, after waiting 5 minutes or so, we were informed that no one was able to join the chat. We tried a second time but immediately upon submitting our question were informed, “Our team’s availability has changed and there’s no longer anyone available to chat” Send us a message instead and we’ll get back to you.”

Though the chat function didn’t seem to work particularly well, we also communicated with EverPup customer service via email. The team was very kind and seemed genuinely interested in providing helpful customer care.

Our test dog Archie loves the flavor of EverPup supplement!

Pros and Cons

EverPup seems to offer a wide variety of benefits for dogs, supporting multiple aspects of total-body health and wellness. Made with quality ingredients and held to high standards for quality, it seems like a quality product from a trustworthy company.

That being said, every dog product brand has its pros and cons. Here are some of the things you need to know about EverPup:

Pros For Everpup:

  • EverPup is made with high-quality, human-grade ingredients and manufactured in the USA in FDA-inspected facilities.
  • It comes in a powdered supplement that is easy to administer – simply sprinkle it over your dog’s food with the included scoop.
  • Information about the product is clearly displayed on the label, including ingredients, dosage, and instructions for use.

Cons For Everpup:

  • Limited information is available on the website and the chat function seems a little unreliable for contact with customer service.
  • The mobile version of the website is a little tricky to use, especially when it comes to managing your account to change or cancel an order.
  • EverPup is a little pricey when compared to other multivitamins for dogs, but the $10 introductory price certainly helps.

It’s your job as a dog owner to take responsibility for your pet’s welfare and to only purchase products that are safe and beneficial. Consider the pros and cons for EverPup before deciding if this is the best option.

The Final Word

EverPup is a daily multivitamin for dogs designed to support numerous aspects of your dog’s health. We love that it’s made with high-quality, human-grade ingredients and produced in the United States. Our test dog seemed to like the supplement and we found the powder fairly easy to dispense.

In terms of our experience, the website is fairly limited in terms of the information available and the chat function doesn’t appear to work consistently. That being said, we had no issues with the product itself and communicating with customer service via email was very helpful.

We don’t recommend giving your dog supplements if he doesn’t need them. If your veterinarian diagnoses your dog with a dietary insufficiency and recommends a multivitamin, however, EverPup could be a good choice to consider.
